Interlibrary Loan (ILL): MeLCat

This guide covers how interlibrary loan (ILL) works at CCS Library and includes the forms needed to request materials from external partners

Need it fast? Try MeLCat

The Michigan eLibrary Catalog (MeLCat) is a quick and easy way for CCS community members to get books and DVDs that the CCS Library does not currently hold. This online resource combines the catalogs of numerous libraries in Michigan, including public, academic, and K-12 school libraries. Your requests will be delivered to the CCS Library Circulation Desk. You will be contacted via email when your items arrive.

  • Books typically arrive within 5 days of request
  • Books are loaned to CCS patrons for 21 days with the possibility of one 21-day renewal
  • Videos and DVDs are loaned to CCS patrons for 7 days, with no renewal
  • Return the checked out item to the CCS Library by the due date. We'll return it to its home library, and you'll avoid library fines!
