The CCS Library is committed to providing a welcoming environment. Although CCS community members may submit a request to change their name in the CCS system, the Library's catalog system is not integrated into that system. Because of this, we ask that you let us know if you would like to change the name on your Library catalog account. This is applicable to anyone with library privileges, including students, staff, faculty, alumni, and those with emeritus status.
Please note, any name changes requested here are only applicable to the Library’s system. Changing your name in the Library system will affect automated notifications from the Libraries and the name under which you can check out materials. It will not affect your login information for the databases or the Library's system.
A chosen name, also known as a preferred name, can be changed to allow a person to go by a name other than a legal name. A legal name is what appears on official documents.
