  1. Where can I return my library materials?
    • Library materials can be returned in the drop box in the atrium of the MVRC, or in the drop box on the second floor of the Taubman Center, near the elevators.
  2. How long can I borrow library materials?
    • Please see the "Borrow & Renew" tab in the menu to the left for information on lending periods.
  3. How do I renew my books and place holds on materials?
  4. How do I request an item for pickup at the TC?
    • In order to pick up an item at the TC, you will need to place a hold on the item in the Library's catalog. When you place the hold, you will have the option to pick up at either the MVRC or the TC. Please allow up to 2 business days for holds to be picked up at the TC; you will receive an email with the PIN for the locker once the item is ready for pickup.

  1. How do I request a material sample for checkout?
    • In order to see what material samples are available and cataloged, you can look in the Library's catalog. If you don't find what you need, come in and browse our extensive collection. If you want to check out a material sample that has not yet been cataloged, bring it to the front desk and let them know you would like to check it out. Please allow up to 1 business day for the item to be cataloged.
  2. What if I need a book or DVD that isn't in the collection?
    • You can suggest a purchase by filling out this online form.
  3. I'm faculty; how do I schedule an instruction session or place items on course reserve?
    • Faculty can find this information and more at the "For Faculty" tab in the menu to the left.
  4. Do alumni & members of the public have access to the Library?
    • The Library is open to alumni and guest community members again. All visitors to the Library are required to follow the on-campus COVID-19 protocols put in place by the College, including wearing a mask indoors.
